Fast Retailing to open Uniqlo casual clothing stores in S.E. Asia
Fast Retailing Co. of Japan will establish Uniqlo casual wear retail chains in Malaysia, Thailand and other Southeast Asian nations, starting with its first outlet in Singapore due to open Thursday, Tadashi Yanai, chairman and president of the company, said Monday.

The Singapore store, the first Uniqlo outlet in Southeast Asia, will open the way ''for us to become the No. 1 (casual wear) retailer in Asia and closer to the world's No. 1,'' Yanai told reporters, adding that Fast Retailing plans to enter markets in India, Australia and some other countries as well. ...
